Orange Dress
As seen in NYFW and VFW SS21
Our Orange Dress was designed while we recorded our "hey'ewulh (Goodbye) Song", in response to the discovery of mass children's unmarked graves at the Kamloops Indian Residential School and others in Canada, earlier this year. This dress and the other orange pieces in the Steqeeye collection were created as a reflection of our times, documenting the past and the present and we share to raise awareness in love, hope and healing.
The orange bottom of the dress has our region's clan crests representing all the children with a human figure. As they ascend to the heavens, the dress changes to white tones representing their journey to the heavens now that they have been and continue to be found.
We raise our hands to the models at NYFW and VFW who graciously wore this dress in honor of the children, to @giggysbeadsboutique
for creating the custom matching earrings and to our brother Joel Good for the artwork. Also to Mom Sandra Good and Dad William Good for all of your help with this piece.
Custom made in sizes XS-XXL based on consultation.
